Product Introduction
FR1218M is a new type of nitrogen-phosphorus-bromine synergistic low-halogen flame retardant masterbatch for polyolefins. Compared with traditional brominated flame retardants, FR1218M contains no Sb₂O₃, requires low addition, and does not migrate.
When 4% FR1218M flame retardant masterbatch is added to the material, the final product can achieve UL94 V-2 (1.5 mm) level and pass IEC 60695 glow wire tests GWIT 750°C and GWFI 850°C.
In addition, flame-retardant products feature low density, low smoke generation, and low mold corrosion, mainly used in the production of electrical sockets, appliance housings, and automotive connectors.
Advantages
FR1218M applied in Homo-PP, the lowest dosage of 4% can achieve UL94 V-2.
FR1218M applied in PP, no migration and no need of Sb₂O₃.
Compared to powder flame retardant, FR1218M has no dust in work place.

◆ Mix the PP resin with the FR1218M masterbatch evenly according to the recommended ratio before injection molding. Depending on the mechanical properties of the base resin, melt index (MI), and specific performance requirements, slight adjustments to the ratio may be necessary. We strongly recommend conducting a preliminary trial to verify the optimal formulation before proceeding with mass production.
